Goings On

The day started at 3:45am when a toddler who had crawled into bed with us decided to wet the bed. Man, for a four year old, that kid's bladder is big.

Settled Seth back down (he didn't appreciate being awakened by a shower) and crawled out of bed to get cleaned up and head to the dairy.

Scooped chevre curds into cheesecloths (ten cheesecloths to be exact) then came in to get ready to leave for a doctor's appointment in Houston.

After said doctors appointment Tim and I did lunch at Central Market, then headed for home, stopping at the grocery store on the way home to quickly stock up. We walked out with two carts of mainly canned goods (tomato paste, etc). When we get low I like to just grab flats of cans and this is what we did.

Got home, checked email, wrote this. Now I have to go weigh and flavor the cheese that got hung to drain in the wee hours of the morning. Milking next and we will be slightly shorthanded as two of the girls are going to Blue Heron Farm to milk their Nubians tonight.

Taco salad and lemon meringue pie for dinner.

Laundry left to fold.

Bed early, I hope.

With no unexpected showers.
